Join our brothers and sisters throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis on Sunday, March 23, 2025, by supporting the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa Annual Appeal. Please offer your prayerful, vocal and financial support.
The Diocese of Malakal, which includes Jonglei, is leading the way in building a sustainable and lasting peace by bringing together people in neutral locations to participate in dialogues, conflict prevention trainings, youth sports, and other relationship-building activities designed to help young people break the cycle of violence and retribution.
With financial support that the Sudan and South Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference received from the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa, staff from the Diocese of Malakal’s Office of Justice and Peace traveled to local parishes to facilitate workshops on healing and reconciliation, conflict resolution, and domestic violence prevention, as well as dialogue sessions and peace rallies where community members could come together in safety.
The Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa has been making real differences in the lives of Catholics in Africa for more than 15 years through its support of seminary training, the formation of religious sisters and brothers, and other pastoral ministries that address the needs of the rapidly growing African Church. When you participate in the collection for the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa, you play a key role in forming today’s seminarians to become the pastoral leaders of tomorrow.
The Church in Africa needs your help to ensure that it can educate and form seminarians to minister to the faithful as the Church continues to grow there. Thank you for your continued support of this collection. More information about the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa can be found at www.usccb.org/africa .
