For those living in poverty, especially those who are homeless, access to basic necessities and medicine is unavailable. Thanks to a contribution from the Vatican’s Apostolic Charities, Rome’s Medicina Solidale association, whose volunteer doctors provide medical care to the poor and marginalized at six street clinics throughout the city, has added a pharmacy to its services. Through the pharmacy, people living in poverty have access to insulin, analgesics, and medicines for hypertension, among other conditions.
Join our brothers and sisters throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis on Sunday, June 30, 2024, by supporting the annual appeal for the Peter’s Pence Campaign. Please offer your prayerful and vocal support of the Peter’s Pence collection and build community.
Your contribution to the Peter’s Pence Collection helps fund not only the activities of the Roman Curia that assist the pope in the exercise of his ministry but also solidarity projects that aid those most in need, like Medicina Solidale. To learn more about the ways in which Peter’s Pence supports the Holy Father’s ministry of mercy, visit www.obolodisanpietro.va/en.html.
