The pastor's role as teacher and sanctifier is a sacred obligation, announcing the word of God to those living in the parish and instructing in the truths of the faith. His work as a teacher and sanctifier is to seep into his homilies. His efforts at catechetical formation should be especially attentive to the formation and education of children and young adults as well as lapsed Catholics. Father Anthony's weekly column serves as an aide for parishioners, friends and neighbors of St. Boniface Parish and St. Meinrad Parish in Spencer County, Indiana, to aid in their reflection on the universal call to holiness found in the scripture, living tradition and the magisterium of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic of the church. American Legion Post #366, Saint Meinrad, Indiana, will be selling Pork Chop and Chicken Dinners, Sunday, April 18, beginning at 7 a.m.

As local, state and federal agencies continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) closely, our parish family’s health and safety, including our staff and volunteers, remain of the utmost importance. We expect our public celebration of Mass and other sacraments will begin sometime after Monday, June 1. 

The Spencer County Catholic parishes of St. Boniface in Fulda and St. Meinrad in St. Meinrad each have received a $3,000 grant to assist local residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kathleen V. Troesch, 84 of Ferdinand, died Friday, July 22nd at Scenic Hills Care Center, Ferdinand.
