The Dale Women's Organization is requesting assistance in providing toys for children at Christmas in the North Spencer County community.

In your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Dennis Pius Waninger, age 82, of St. Boniface Parish. Dennis died peacefully in the Lord at Memorial Hospital and Health Care in Jasper, Indiana, on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Abbey Caskets, a work of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, will host a Service of the Longest Night on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 6 p.m. Central Time in the Saint Meinrad Archabbey Guest House Chapel in St. Meinrad, IN.

Parishioners, friends and neighbors are invited to “stock the pantry” at Martin’s Cloak. Items may be delivered to parishes from Saturday, November 20 - Wednesday, November 24.

The December “Wish List” for Catholic Charities Tell City includes adult gloves. Catholic Charities in Tell City will distribute these items to local families in need.

St. Boniface Parish and St. Meinrad Parish invites parishioners, friends, and neighbors the opportunity to remember and honor their loved ones by purchasing a Christmas Poinsettia to be used in decorating the church during the Christmas Season. The deadline to request Christmas Poinsettia Memorials and Honor Roll is the second is December 13, 2021.

Rose died peacefully in the Lord at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana, on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Preceding Rose in death is Leo Rudolf Mullis (spouse). Arrangements in the care of Becher Funeral Home, in Ferdinand, Indiana.

St. John Lutheran Church will hold a fundraiser selling chicken dinners and other specialty food items on Saturday, December 4, one-half mile west of New Boston, Indiana. Pick-up time is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The proceeds benefit the care and maintenance of their church and facilities. Food items are pre-order only.

The Fulda Development Corporation announced the Cash Bonanza winners for October. This month’s winners are Cheryl Kluemper, Larry Zoglman, Stacy Feltner, Joann Rothgerber, and Brian Vinson. The Development Corporation thanks those who support their endeavors.

Join our brothers and sisters throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis on Sunday, November 21, 2021, by supporting the annual appeal for Catholic Campaign for Human Development collection.

he weekend of Nov. 6-7 is the archdiocesan annual United Catholic Appeal (UCA) intention weekend in parishes across the archdiocese. The goal for this year’s appeal is $6.3 million. The money will be distributed to various ministries and organizations throughout central and southern Indiana, providing help that no single parish or deanery could independently offer. The theme of this year’s appeal is “United in the Eucharist.”

Doris died peacefully in the Lord at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Daughter of Mary Darlene (Merkley) VanHoosier of St. Meinrad Parish, Jeffrey A Hanebutt (spouse) and Kayla Hanebutt and Melissa Hanebutt (daughters). A free Veterans Day Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, November 10, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. EST at the Ferdinand American Legion.

A free Veterans Day Meal will be held on Thursday, November 11, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Central at the St. Meinrad American Legion Post #366
