The Benedictine monks at Saint Meinrad Archabbey, St. Meinrad, IN, celebrated the jubilees of monastic profession for four of their confreres on July 28, 2019.

Johana B. Vaal, 96, of Ferdinand, formerly of St. Meinrad, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.

The sale of fresh flowers after Masses on Mother’s Day weekend at two local parishes raised $299 for area pro-life agencies.

ST. MEINRAD, IN – Three alumni of Saint Meinrad were honored on July 23 as recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award. They are Bill McGuire of Indianapolis, IN, and Deacon Frank and Mary Olmsted of St. Charles, MO.

FULDA, IN - The annual Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church Summer Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 4, beginning at 10 a.m. CDT, with prayer followed by local Honor Guard and National Anthem on the church grounds at Fulda.

Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery, St. Meinrad, IN, is hosting an exhibit of icons and drawings by Br. Michael Moran, CP. The show will run from July 2 through August 30.

The Spencer County parishes of St. Boniface and St. Meinrad will host quilt shows on Sunday, July 21. The show at Historic St. Boniface Catholic Church in Fulda will be from 9 to 11 a.m. The St. Meinrad Catholic Church show will be from 10 a.m. to noon. All times are Central.
