Students arrive: 6:15 - 6:20 p.m.
Student dismissal Kindergarten - Grade 6: 7:15 p.m.
Student dismissal Grades 7-10: 7:20 p.m.
Student arrival begins at 6:15 p.m., allowing safety volunteers to be in place.
Parents/caregivers are to enter from State Road 545 through the alley directly in front of the parish center, and not at Jefferson Street | E County Road 1550 N (Memorial Forest Road). Stop by the cone and place your vehicle in park. For the safety of all students and drivers, the students should exit on the driver’s side of the vehicle, one vehicle at a time, at the designated traffic cone at the sidewalk near the parish center’s east entrance.
All parents/caregivers, upon exiting the parish center parking lot, are to veer right, cross E County Road 1550 N (Memorial Forest Road) and use the service road behind the parish church parallel to the cemetery, exiting south of the Village Hut to access State Road 545. This is to minimize traffic at the intersection of State Road 545 and E County Road 1550 N (Memorial Forest Road) near the alley used for student arrival.
Drivers are asked not to use electronic communication devices while in the traffic lane.
Parents/caregivers with students in Kindergarten-Grade 3 should veer left into parking lanes located on the parish center’s west side (front side) and park in designated traffic lanes.
Parents/caregivers with students in Grades 4-6 should veer right into the parking lane that begins on the parish center’s south side (access road between the parish center and shelter house) and continue to the parish center’s eastside (back side) and park.
The first vehicle continues toward the traffic bar between the orange reflective cones located at E County Road 1550 N (Memorial Forest Road) and stops.
The first vehicle is not to park at the steps of the parish center’s east exit so that all vehicles can arrive and park safely before dismissal, leaving no vehicles parked on Highway 545 before dismissal.
Parents/caregivers are to turn off vehicle headlights, leaving the parking lights on – Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) – to be visible to the safety volunteers.
Student dismissal for Kindergarten - Grade 6 begins at 7:15 p.m. at the Parish Center. When the parents/caregivers arrive on time and follow the procedure, the dismissal process takes only about five minutes.
Student dismissal for Grades 7-10 begins at 7:20 p.m. at the parking lot north of the parish church building.
Parents/caregivers are to arrive no later than 7:10 p.m., as pedestrian traffic throughout the parking areas will begin at dismissal. Students will not be released with vehicles still arriving.
At the 7:15 p.m. bell, parents/caregivers with students Kindergarten-Grade 6 are encouraged to meet their children on the sidewalk near the parish center’s west entrance and accompany them safely to their vehicle.
After securing passengers in the vehicle, turn headlights on, signaling traffic volunteers that you and your passengers are ready to exit at the sound of the signal.
The safety volunteer will remove the traffic bar between the orange reflective cones at the head of each traffic lane, signaling to begin to exit cautiously. The other drivers are to follow.
Parents/caregivers with students in Kindergarten-Grade 6 parked in the two exit lanes closest to the parish center will exit veering right, crossing E County Road 1550 N (Memorial Forest Road) to use the service road behind the parish church parallel to the cemetery and exit south of the Village Hut to access State Road 545. All remaining lanes will exit left onto E County Road 1550 N (Memorial Forest Road).
Parents/caregivers using the exit lane designated for Grades 4-6 are to use the service road behind the parish church parallel to the cemetery, exiting south of the Village Hut to access State Road 545.
