Children’s Liturgy of the Word

Children's Liturgy of the Word occurs during Mass, throughout the Liturgy of the Word, at 4 p.m. Saturday (Anticipated Vigil Mass for Sunday) at St. Boniface, and at the 8:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Meinrad for children ages 3 to Grade 2 until the child receives their First Holy Communion.

Catechists are needed to lead children in prayer, song and reflection focused on the Sunday Lectionary readings for Mass. Materials and training are provided using Pflaum Gospel Weeklies - Seeds (Preschool). Children’s Liturgy of the Word meets weekly, September through April.
