Preplanning and Prearrangements at Local Funeral Homes
Ask whether your loved one has made prepaid arrangements with a funeral home. Review that document several weeks in advance when possible. You can obtain a copy from the funeral home.
With this information in hand, you are welcome to meet a member of the parish staff before the death to begin funeral planning.
Funeral prearrangements and prepaid funerals typically differ. The funeral home can tell you what plan, if any, your loved one has made.
If your loved one has a prepaid plan, inquire at the funeral home whether any additional fees incurred by the funeral home, parish church or cemetery can be added to the plan.
- If there is a prepaid arrangement, all additional fees must be submitted to the funeral director within five business days of the funeral service.
- Any additional funds the parish receives are invested in the parish cemetery endowment in memory of the deceased.
Local Customs for Bereavement LuncheonsA bereavement luncheon may be arranged on request, to be held immediately after the Rite of Committal and interment at the cemetery. Information about the luncheon can be found at this link.- Please note: If the family wishes to choose an alternative location for a bereavement luncheon, the parish will pay facility rental costs or help with catering costs, up to $300. The meal is to be catered by vendor staff, rather than parish volunteers.

- Front and back grave marker images
- Veteran notation when applicable
- Maiden name and nickname fields
- Photo and obituary upload option upon request
Also Provided- Two-hour visitation in parish church before service
- Upon request: bereavement luncheon with setup and teardown of Parish Center
- Record and acknowledgment of memorial gifts made online or directly to the Parish Office, with notification to the primary family contact
- Upon request: family and pallbearer notification services
- Access to Parish Center 24 hours before service
